Additionally, each has an EPA-rated combined fuel economy of 23 to 29 mpg, which can hold down ownership costs and benefit the environment as well. We've listed the cars alphabetically and numbered them for convenience, not for rank.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) created the 5-Star Safety Ratings Program to provide consumers with information about the crash protection and rollover safety of new vehicles beyond what is required by Federal law. One star is the lowest rating; five stars is the highest. More stars equal safer cars. This is a program that provides safety ratings to consumers so they can compare vehicles when shopping for a new car. The program also encourages manufacturers to voluntarily design safer vehicles.

Kia’s award-winning small crossover has gone through an extensive redesign for a sleek new look with the power and interior to satisfy any need. The 2017 Sportage is roomier, safer and performs better than in previous models. Here’s what you have to look forward to when you get behind the wheel.
No, your eyes aren’t fooling you. The 2017 Kia Sportage is slightly bigger than its predecessors. This means there’s extra space inside, especially for backseat passengers and cargo. The rear seats even recline now, improving the comfort for everyone onboard. Fold down the backseats and you’ll be amazed at how much cargo space your “small SUV” actually has.
Kia has become increasingly popular in recent years for its vehicles’ safety, but the 2017 Sportage is better than ever. Options on the redesigned crossover include collision warnings, automated braking to help you avoid forward collisions, blind spot monitoring and lane departure warnings. Have a teen that is just learning to drive or recently got their license? You can even set speed tracking to help keep your teen driver safe.
The 2017 Sportage comes with two engine options: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The six-speed automatic transmission makes the best use of the power available. Although front-wheel drive is the standard option on the Sportage, Coloradans will appreciate the ability to upgrade to all-wheel drive.
The 2017 Sportage doesn’t disappoint performance-wise, either. Despite the available power, the mpg is respectable for a small crossover – it averages at about 25mpg for combined driving situations with the 2.4-liter engine and slightly less in the turbocharged engine. In addition, electric power steering and an upgraded suspension system make this year’s crossover smoother and more fun to drive than ever.
This new and improved crossover will make your commute or family road trip even better. Between the peppy drive train, the smooth handling and the state-of-the-art infotainment system, you’ll find yourself looking forward to getting behind the wheel.
To see the latest evolution of Kia’s popular crossover for yourself, come in to i25 Kia and test drive the 2017 Sportage today. We are proud to offer our customers a 24-hour test drive so you can really get a feel for the quality of our vehicles.
